Underground Private Utility Locate Services
Did You Know…
- Public locators from public utilities will not locate any private utilities on private property.
- A private utility is any "line" that occurs after:
- The incoming service point (such as a meter or transformer) of a public utility, or
- For public utility services such as water or sewer lines, at the beginnig of the private property (i.e. after the road or sidewalk)
- So, while you do need to have the public locator services performed…
- Contact Ontario 1-Call, or
- Ask us to coordinate the whole thing (both the public and private locates) .
- It is these underground private utility locate services that Ottawa Valley Locate provides:
- We can just do your private underground utility locates, or
- We will do them and also coordinate the entire public and private locate effort for you.
